RECO Information Guide

As of December 1 2023, the Real Estate Agents & Brokers in Ontario are required to have clients and potential clients read, discuss and sign off on the REAL ESTATE COUNCIL OF ONTARIO (RECO) Information Guide. This guide was created and is given as a response to consumer demand for clearer education on representation. Consumers, whether seller or buyer, receive this guide when they are considering services and/or representation from a real estate agent. Described within are the benefits, expectation of working with an agent, responsibilities of clients, the risks of representing yourself, different types of multiple representation, signing a contract with a real estate brokerage and more.
